- DescriptionGeneral Description: Large German wooden tankard set in silver. The handle is carved with a floral design and has its own foot rest. A large dog (lion?) protrudes from the top of the handle above the hinge which opens the lid. The lid is decorated with a swirl of the same engraving. The tankard itself sits on a tripod of carved wooden feet. A toothed zig zag in silver lines the top and bottom of the tankard with a silver plaque attached to the front. A 19th Century electroplated copy of the original. (, )
