Description
General Description: SWORD BELT WITH HANGER. Extendable sword belt, 815mm long, 400mm wide, navy blue cotton material 2 piece, brass, interlocking buckle, one side being circle of laurels, 50mm, hole in centre 35mm. Other side being round disk, 35mm is diameter, with anchor symbol. Belt was in two pieces, with either free end being attached to one of the brass disks on the hangar. Hangar consists of two brass disks, 37mm is diameter,with anchor symbols (as above). Joined together by 90mm of belt material. From the left one hangs 180mm of 25mm wide, navy blue material, with adjusting buckle and brass clip on the end. Thigh one the same but for 370mm by material. Sword or Cutlass would be attached to this. Hangar removed for belt to be everyday use? For naval use. (, )
