- BeschreibungGeneral Description: (A) A 20th Century silver gilt president's chain for the Plymouth Association of Retail Credit. Composed of 18 lozenges, each engraved with names and dates of past presidents from 1938 - 1969. Each panel is hallmarked with lion passant and date letter O for 1938-9. The central panel is flanked by two, white roses each marked with lion passant and letter N for 1937-8. From the central panel hangs a hook for fixing (B) the medallion. A circular medallion with an enamel central Plymouth Coat of Arms with a border reading 'President, Plymouth & District Credit Traders Association' with a further suspended panel reading 'The Plymouth Association of Retail Credit.' Contained within leather case (C) with 2 lockable clasps and handle at top. Blue velvet covered sleeve insert for presentation of chain. (, )
