General Description: Headdress, made from a Hornbill beak, plant fibre and feathers, from New Guinea, Melanesia (, )
Researcher Description: Most likely from Central district. Made from hornbill beak. The black feathers have a coconut fibre backing. It can be totemic. Only worn by men and would probably indicate that he had killed. Red feathers could be parrot. Worn with other head ornaments. (Joshua Bell, UEA, 2007)
